Looks Like We Made It…

off she goes!
off she goes…

Miss m made it through graduation.
So did her mom, with many Kleenex in tow πŸ˜‰

waiting for procession to begin ~ she saw mom, brother, grammie waving…

miss m is nearest the camera, in character shoes, of course!

looking back… looking ahead

No sooner had the ceremony concluded (in the 200 degree field house!),
when the skies opened up and the rain poured down.
Evidently the entire eastern seaboard had t-storm issues today.

I hope everyone is well!

After graduation, I drove mom back to the hospital.
Dad was much better tonight — at least the psychotic reaction
has subsided, and his mind is coming back.

The physical effects of the neck injury are still evident,
but the doctors feel he can recover.

Thank you all so much for your kind, encouraging words, and for your prayers.
I know Dad can feel each and every one. I do as well. It’s evidenced in the fact that he was able to talk to the kids on the phone tonight — a happy development!

A proud moment, ours is on 29th but then we don’t hav e aelaborated celebration like this in Belgium. Congragulations to her and ofcourse to the proud parents and family.

Thank you HC… I always wonder why they keep these poor kids sitting 4 5 6 hours in a hot hall… but proud all the same πŸ™‚

I was there last year, Trisha just graduated from High School this time! We were talking talking about it last Friday how time flies. Trisha had the same red gown for school too! πŸ™‚

I know how you felt! Proud, weepy and a kinda loss all in one. Sometimes you wonder why they grow up at all and then you are glad they are grown and will be on their way to happiness.

I just read about your dad, glad he recovered enough to have a talk with kids. What a responsibility for you, I think it’s called “Sandwich generation”, between parents and kids, coping with everybody. Scary, sometimes, isn’t it? More power to you, hugs. You are doing a great job.

Thank you dear Asha, for your encouragement — I wonder if I am doing the best for my mom and dad all the time, suddenly — used to only worry about the kids! And yes, it’s a bittersweet thing, the graduations — but the end of one chapter is only the beginning of another right! Even for us moms πŸ˜‰

You are an awesome mom too πŸ™‚
