Taking Care of Business

I can hardly believe it’s already the end of January.

My children both graduate this year — one from high school and the other from college. Big changes are on the horizon; what once seemed far off in the distant future is suddenly right before my eyes.

I am hoping for a move this year. Therefore, among other things, I have been busy with the preparation phase.

I collect glassware from the early 1900s. I’ve been photographing and documenting so when it gets to the next phase, I won’t have any questions of its whereabouts.

It’s not moving time yet, but it is time to pack away these things I don’t use every day.

One thing I realised when I began this project is: I am going to need *alot* more boxes!

NOT packing this!!!

Beautiful collection Linda. They need all the pampering they can get πŸ™‚
I will miss you if you move away but we will meet the same way we always have so no worries here.

Thanks ISG — when I do move, there will be an extra room for you to come and visit for real! πŸ™‚

Oh Linda, I will be in your position in 2013, both my kids graduate from HS and College!! I am scared already! I will miss them so much and I will be all alone, husband is too busy all the time! 😦

Beautiful and colorful crystal collection. Apart from books, I don’t have any other collection. I will have to start a new hobby. Moving to be near kids?

Son don’t have school today. Snow has turned to ice and sleet, dangerous.

Good luck with your move Linda, blog more once you are settled and keep in touch. I need to email you, may be later.

Best of luck to M too, I am sure she will be a college of her choice. Trisha will be Sophomore next August 27th, can’t believe how time flies!

You have quite a collection there, Linda! How wonderful to be planning a move that you have always dreamt about- good luck with everything.

Are you trying to “eat down” your pantry in the coming months? That’s going to make a lot of rice πŸ˜‰

Lovely glassware Linda! Goodluck with the move. You’ll have to cook rice for every meal to finish off that sack! πŸ™‚

  9. Your collections looks nice Linda. Very colorful. I am sure you will spread the sunshine, smiles and warmth where ever you are. Good luck with the move.

Wow Linda splendid collection… I always love glassware but I dont get the courage to start collecting because we keep travelling wherever work takes us plus with a busy and curious toddler around I better delay the collection ….

I am so glad you are making a move you always wanted to… I am sure everything will go smooth and cool.

  12. You are all dear to me — thank you for your good wishes! I don’t have the right words to express how much they mean to me πŸ™‚

The move won’t come after the baby is settled in college — so not till fall at the soonest — so I will still be around pestering you all for some time yet πŸ™‚
