Winter Wonderland

We’ve had some snow this week! Last night’s batch had piled up pretty high by this morning, but mild temps this afternoon and evening produced this bubbly effect in the backyard tonight — reminds me of a pancake ready to be turned ๐Ÿ˜‰

One morning earlier this week, a great big buck deer wandered out of the little woods back there. I didn’t have the camera to capture him, but today there were some smaller creatures looking for a bite in the windy, sleety storm.

Pancake snow- I like that! Here, our snow is slowly turning to maple syrup snow (sounds better than slush…)
Have a good week ahead, Linda!

Ha, Nupur! I’m gonna try that one on my daughter next time she mentions the ‘dirty snow’ — maple syrup! You have a great week yourself ๐Ÿ™‚

pancake snow sounds good and yum too ๐Ÿ˜› we had a snowy weekend too…even the sky is looking pale now …not a streak of blue in there!! everything around me looks all white and must say, there is some beauty in that ๐Ÿ™‚

Have a great week ahead ๐Ÿ™‚

There is some beauty in that indeed, Shn… especially when the snow falls under a pink night-sky ๐Ÿ™‚ Hope you have a great week too ๐Ÿ™‚

Hi Linda, Hope you are doing well in the snow storm. We had about 11 inches over the weekend. ๐Ÿ™‚ What a gorgeous roundup of JFI: Toor Dal. Thank you for all your hard work!

Thanks Mandira — got through the week’s storms ok although snow-blower is making me wonder whether I ever had muscles in my arms! ๐Ÿ˜‰ You would have lots of lake effect snow out your way… oh, dear Michigan home! I’m glad you liked the round up — I had alot of tough acts to follow, you know! ๐Ÿ™‚

Suganya, if only you could come over and take their pic. Your camera surely would show just how cute they are. I am so poor at that! ๐Ÿ™‚

I could arrange to send some snow :):)

Linda, that first pic is a revelation – never knew it could snow like that!

Well it didn’t, really, Sra — it snowed a whole bunch, then turned warm and rained. So the pockets in the snow came, and then it froze same night. So the lovely shiny crust! It’s pretty neat, not sure I have seen it looking like that ever and I have lived most of my life in New England snow country ๐Ÿ™‚

It’s so good to see you Asha, missed you while you were gone dear! Enjoy your vacation time with the kids and make some more of those awesome cookies! Nothing anywhere near 44 here these days, never mind 77! Stay warm ๐Ÿ™‚
