Great Lakes

The best place for big sky, big waves, and solitude.

Great for rock-hunting, too.

The photo shown is EXACTLY what the wife and saw the last couple of weeks as we hunted interesting rocks along the shore of Lake Michigan and Lake Huron. We found several nice Petoskey stones, some agate and a wild variety of color combinations that boggle the mind. I would love to find a reference book or site that could name or somehow identify the rocks we found. It is facinating to look through our collection. I took some of the Petoskeys to a Jeweler who has transformed them into a Necklace and Earrings for my wife for our 45th Anniversary on the 18th (Oops 17th) of Sept.

Hi there, and thanks for your stop and comment! I sent you an email with a link to some reference books — enjoy your rock hounding 🙂

    Best wishes!
